Who We Are


Haley Stapleton
Nurse Practitioner & Owner
Haley is the owner of The Little Mountain Clinic. She graduated with her Bachelors in Nursing from South University in Tampa Florida. She then went and got her master's degree from Georgetown University. She has a wide range of experience from primary care to acute care medicine. Rural medicine is where her heart is.
She has a husband is who in the Airforce and three lovely children. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family, play on her hobby farm, ride her horse, and read books.
Dr Michael Hollifield
Medical Director
Leading The Little Mountain Clinic's medical providers, Dr. Michael Hollifield has an extensive medical background in emergency medical management and primary care.
Dr. Hollifield is a graduate of University of North Georgia, and the University of Florida. He got his Medical Degree from Medical College of Georgia and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society at MCG in 1987. He has been a Dutch Merchant Marine Officer for 8 years, and has practiced emergency medicine for over 35 years with the last 29 years being at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
As Medical Director, Dr Hollifield leads our providers by providing review and feedback as well as consultant physician services when needed on complex cases. Dr. Hollifield works on a daily basis through his oversight and teamwork assuring all providers are delivering the highest standards of medical care to our patients.
Dr. Hollifield loves horses, trail raiding and is an active scuba diver.



Richard Stapleton
Managing Director
Richard Stapleton serves as The Little Mountain Clinic's managing director, bringing extensive expertise in aviation and leadership. A U.S. Air Force veteran with six years of service and a former Federal Aviation Administration Technician with more than eight years of experience, Richard approaches every challenge with discipline and a solutions-driven mindset.
When he's not working, he enjoys time on the lake with family, friends and girl-friend, as well as relaxing with his three dachshunds.
Diego Perez
Nurse Practitioner
Diego Began his career in medicine as an EKG tech back in 2007. He then became a nurse in the cardiac catheterization unit in 2015 and has worked as a local nurse in the Northeast Georgia system and a travel nurse. He graduated with his Master's of Science in Nursing in 2019 from Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. Diego specializes in Urgent Care and Family Care.
Diego is bilingual and offers tele-health appointments in both English and Spanish to our patient living or visiting Georgia.



Sara Cavazos
Nurse Practioner
Sara began her career in medicine as an EMT and then a paramedic in 2000. In 2005, she became an ER and trauma nurse, then continued her studies at Kennesaw State University where she graduated with honors in 2009 as a nurse practitioner. She has vast experience in both primary and emergency. Sara is looking forward to treating patients via telehealth and in home visits for primary and urgent care. She is excited to start this new chapter of her medical career with the Little Mountain Clinic!
During Sara's time off she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, organizing and exercising.
Molly Musselwhite
Physician Associate
Molly started her medical career in 2015 as an EKG technician. She later transitioned to the operating room as a surgical technologist, where she gained three years of hands-on experience before pursuing her dream of becoming a physician associate. She earned her PA degree from Brenau University in 2023 and currently practices in urgent care.
Outside of work, Molly loves spending time with her family, traveling, scuba diving, and being outdoors.


Thomas Stapleton

Co-owner, marketing & customer relations
With over a decade of service in the U.S. Coast Guard, Thomas brings a wealth of experience in avionics and mission systems operations, having served at air stations in Mobile, Clearwater, and Humboldt. His work in the military demanded precision, teamwork, and a deep sense of accountability—qualities he now brings to the healthcare space. Throughout his service, he led crews, implemented safety initiatives, and mentored others, further strengthening his leadership and dedication to service. Before his military career, he gained valuable experience in the private sector and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from North Georgia College and State University. Thomas' lifelong commitment to protecting and serving others continues through his work at the clinic, where he is focused on providing accessible, compassionate, and reliable care to individuals.
Savana Borchers
Wound Care Technician
Savana is a compassionate wound care technician with The Little Mountain Clinic, where she is committed to delivering high-quality care for patients. Her approach combines clinical skill with a patient-first mindset, ensuring comfort and effective treatment for every individual she serves.

Outside of the clinic, Savana is the President of a nonprofit supporting an animal shelter, where she oversees fundraising operations, community programs, and advocacy efforts. She is also a devoted mother, balancing her professional and volunteer commitments with the same care and dedication she brings to her family. Savana’s work reflects a deep passion for healing—whether it’s for people, animals, or her community.
